Our Values

Three principles, applied to every project.

01

Thorough

We are detail-driven by default. Every measurement, every certificate, every handover is documented and defensible.

02

Proactive

We engage early, identify risks before they bite, and coordinate with consultants and contractors so handover dates hold.

03

Accountable

We put our name to the workmanship we deliver. If we sign it off, it works - and we stand behind it.

FAQ

Commissioning questions, answered.

Common questions about HVAC commissioning, water treatment and water hygiene. Can’t find what you’re looking for?

Ask an engineer
  • What is HVAC commissioning?

HVAC commissioning is the process of verifying that heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and associated water systems are installed, tested and operating in line with the design intent and current standards. At Titan Cx we balance air and water systems, witness controls, validate plant performance and produce auditable records ready for handover - typically in accordance with CIBSE Commissioning Codes A, W and M and BSRIA BG2/2010.

  • What is pre-commission cleaning and flushing?

Pre-commission cleaning removes debris, flux, jointing compound and microbiological contamination from newly installed pipework before a system is put into service. We carry out dynamic flushing, chemical cleaning and corrosion-inhibitor dosing of LTHW, CHW and condenser water circuits in line with BSRIA BG29/2021, then sample and report water quality so the system is protected from day one.

  • Do you carry out Legionella risk assessments?

Yes. We deliver Legionella risk assessments, written schemes of control, temperature monitoring, TMV servicing, chlorination and thermal disinfection in line with the HSE's ACOP L8 and HSG274 Parts 1, 2 and 3. Our work supports duty holders in meeting their legal obligations and keeping occupants safe.

  • Which standards and codes of practice do you work to?

All commissioning, water treatment and water hygiene work is delivered in line with current legislation and recognised guidance - including ACOP L8, HSG274, BSRIA BG29/2021, BSRIA BG2/2010, BS 8558:2015, BS 8580-1:2019 and the CIBSE Commissioning Codes (A, W and M). Records are auditable and ready for client, consultant or insurer review.

  • What sectors and project sizes do you cover?

We work UK-wide across commercial offices, healthcare, data centres, education, residential build-to-rent, hospitality, pharmaceutical and public-sector estates. Projects range from multi-million-pound new builds to smaller specialist commissioning packages - the same senior engineers and the same standards on every job.

  • When in the programme should commissioning engineers be engaged?

As early as possible - ideally at design stage. Early engagement lets us review the commissioning strategy, witnessing requirements and access provisions before plant is installed. That reduces snagging, protects handover dates and avoids the last-minute surprises that drive cost and programme overruns.

  • How quickly can Titan Cx respond to an enquiry?

A senior engineer responds to every enquiry within 24 hours with availability, an outline approach and indicative pricing. For urgent disinfection, water hygiene call-outs or witnessing slots we can usually mobilise faster - contact enquiries@titancx.co.uk or call the office and we'll talk through the project.
